some thing blocking my android phone from recieveing messages

i have a rooted android phone ZTE "Nova 3.5" or "V6500" with android version 2.3.6. and i seem to have a problem when receiving sms messages and i don't know exactly since when that happened, and i don't have any black or white list applications for blocking contacts. the strange thing is that i can receive phone calls but not sms messages and when i send an sms messages from another mobile phone i get a status report of failure to send the message, just like my number was invalid or my phone was shut down and actually it's not!!!
