Some Vanilla Gingerbread Love??

Hello,

I know we're all waiting on tenderhooks for Alpharevx to come through with the S-OFF method for the Inc2, but I was wondering if there's any way currently to run just vanilla Gingerbread without any Sense overlay on the Inc2? And if not, will there be once we receive root?

Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of Sense without running a custom ROM, and that requires root. But once you guys get S-Off I'm sure some talented ROM chef will cook up a vanilla Gingerbread ROM for the Dinc2, and maybe you guys will even get official CM7 support.

Not sure if anyone's looked at xda...but cm7 was released in beta for inc2 and everyone's just waiting for the root method.

i think the folks over at cyanogenmod should open up a service where you can pay them some money send them your phone so they can get the cyanogen 7 on your phone and vuloia! i have tried to root my phone several times with no success. Anyone have a phone number where we can reach them? i want to give that a shot. i love the Dinc2 and would love cyanogenmod 7 on it even more. anyone have a phone number?

@cyanogenmod on the Twitters is as close as you're going to get for a phone number.

Remember CM is a group of very talented volunteers. There is no "tech support" in the traditional sense. Just forums like this, XDA and others where we work together to figure out problems and report them.

CM7 for the DInc2 will get here.

And for those new to CM7... Remember the first rule of CM... Don't ask for an ETA!

Haha. Cm7 would be nice. Nicer first would be an easy, workable root solution. This bloatware needs to go. GB would he nice too. Who knows how long VZW or HTC will take with that though....
