DISCLAIMER - I am an Eventide user, that's it. I don't represent the company, nor am I affiliated or associated with anyone there. I'm not putting this out there as a rep for the company, just as a consumer who's noticed something.

For those of you who don't know, Eventide is a manufacturer of high quality, professional audio gear, and they're well known for their audio effects processors.

Anyways, they have a new product out called the H9, it's an effects processor for musicians that lets you change the sound of your instrument in a zillion different ways. I have one. It's awesome. What's really awesome about it is they have a program that you can use on your PC, Mac, or iOS device that allows you to do about five million more things with it. It's called H9 Control. Many of the iOS users bring their iPads on stage and use them to their fullest potential. They (Eventide) say that they're going to develop an Android app for it, too. It's been a long time, and whenever anyone inquires on their forum about it, they keep saying they haven't had any luck finding someone to take it on (an Android developer), because apparently, it's not as easy as porting over an iOS to Android (another disclaimer - I'm just an Android user who doesn't know jack about app development).

So why am I putting this out there? This is one of the best effects processors I've ever owned in my 30 years of playing music, and using a laptop on stage (trying to turn buttons with a mouse) is just not feasible or intuitive, and it's a hindrance to the creative process. So essentially, I want someone to hopefully approach Eventide and see what the hell is going on. I know we have some pretty savvy folks on here, so if anyone's feeling ambitious....

Unfortunately, I'm mostly a lurker on this forum and haven't posted enough to be able to put links in my post, but the Eventide website is easy to find. You'd want to look at their H9 product, and the H9 Control software, and then find out who to contact there. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful in this regard. I know it's a long shot, so I hope this isn't inappropriate posting this here, but there's a lot of people that would be made awful happy if this app materialized, and the last thing on earth I want to do is buy an iPad.

Thanks.
