Looking for a cross-platform (ios and Android) family sharing/locating option. My wife and son are on ios, I'm here. Is anybody using an app for family sharing between the two platforms?

not possible at this time. now if you are wanting to share music and movies, you should be able to share specific services like amazon prime and some of the others but they may required paid family subscriptions.

Sorry, no, location sharing

I saw that too.

On iOS, my wife can watch our son as he comes home from school. She has him in her family on her apple account and can see what route the bus takes.

It's looking like Life360 is the closest thing.
If you all have Google maps and have your GPS on, why can't you share your location? It's in the settings of the Maps app.

Are you saying that the Google Maps feature doesn't work, or that you'd rather not use the location sharing feature (which is essentially what your wife's iPhone is doing)?

No, I'm sure the Google Maps feature works and I wouldn't mind using it, but iOS doesn't require you to turn it on in Google Maps. Maybe Family Sharing was the wrong term. Find My Phone for Android is what I was referring to, but since I'm the only one on Android, it doesn't matter. I would have to rely on a 3rd party app, like Life 360.
