Is there a way to find out exactly which process under 'Android OS' (under Battery Usage) is fairly rapidly draining my battery? 'Android OS' is apparently using 46%

(the phone is a Motoroola G60S).

I had this issue a few weeks ago and it went away, but since an Android update it's come back again and I have no idea why.

Is there a reliable app (which doesn't harvest data) which will do the job?

Or any other method?

Thanks

Is this the first issue you've had with this phone? Sorry for the very late reply, There isn't any way that I'm aware of to see what process in the OS might be driving your battery drain. It could be several things. I looked this device up and it released in '21, have you had since then or did you get it recently? I ask because your description sounds like poor signal. It may seem counter intuitive but if your phone is struggling to connect to your carrier's network it actually runs the battery down faster as it searches and makes repeated efforts to connect and would likely show as OS.

I cannot name any other specific processes that might drive a battery drain but other things related to the OS that possibly could drain the battery would be things like, going long periods without restarting the phone. Restarts close apps and processes running in the background, they clear caches, and do other things to keep things running smoothly which can have an impact on battery.

Do you restart regularly?

How long have you had this device?

I know this was a while ago, but have you had any more instances of this?

What have you done or tried? Did any of those efforts help?
