Sometimes the tablet wakes up with dark display

I bought this Gpad 8.3 for my wife as a used item from ebay and it looks and performs brilliantly apart from every now and then when it wakes, by opening the case, the display is very pale and dark. This can be corrected by pressing the power button and swiping the screen but is this normal. I cant find any mention of it in the handbook. When this happens the brightness slider is still set to where the screen is bright and moving it does not help.

My LG G Pad 8.3 purchased off of eBay a year ago does exact same thing. I've been ignoring that issue largely as it's fixable with power button Off and back On.

Thanks for that. Probably a bug and as you say this is not causing too much of problem. Odd thing is it only seems to do it if I open the tablet.
