Sony Xperia Z1 - Photos and videos widget

Hi, I've just got my Sony Xperia Z1. There's a "Photos and Videos" widget that's preinstalled, which lets you browse your photos within the widget. I'm not sure if it's a Google thing or a Sony thing, but anyway, it doesn't seem to have any settings options that I can find, and I would like to change the folders it uses. It automatically just has every photo and video on the phone, and I'd like to just have my photos folder, does anyone know how to do this? Or of an alternative widget which can do it and looks nice? I have looked and I could find no info on this widget, and could only find photo browsers that do it within the app and not on the widget.
