Sony Xperia ZL - Album Update broken?

I got The album update an now all my images are showing up as little mountain icons and I can't see the photo anymore or attach it to any SMS or email. Just said it can't read the files.

I figured out what it was. The phone killed my memory card and those camera photos were on it. I've heard of others getting damaged memory cards before in the ZL and Z. I'll have to pick up another one. The one in there was a cheapy 32gb so I'll try a name brand this time.
