sorting media

recently got the M8 . came from Blackberry. starting to get my power usage under control, my new issue is pictures. my phone is a mish mosh now. when I synced the new phone and transferred stuff from my Blackberry , now my media is all over the place within the phone. some are now on instagram some are in google , in gallery , in pictures. when I use the camera , cannot find the pictures , and recently went to my daughters wedding, I looked into the gallery and my pictures keep doubling and tripling and don't know why. and another app keeps playing music with a slideshow i do not use and it is annoying.camera is also hard to use. timer keeps going off taking pics of the sky ,my pocket , my hand, very hard to use, how can I streamline my media better?
