I've been at this all day guys and I need help, I own a 8 week old kitten and as cute as he is, he stepped on my keyboard whilst my LG Optimus Q was plugged in as a Storage Device, it deleted every file live and hidden on the phone, it now just loads in CWM 6.0.3.3 I don't know much about it so I've been researching and researching and I've tried flashing recovery's clearing caches formatting /system I'm mostly familiar with cwm as a result of all this to be honest but I really need my phone back, I have job interviews to get to and I throw in the towel on troubleshooting any help will be appreciated, Thanks!:'(

CWM (clockwork mod) is a custom recovery when you are rooted.
Sounds like you need to restore backup (if one was created)
or flash a new ROM (it will be a .zip)

Yes Thank you I tried all those guides earlier today, I have tried flashing a few different ones promised to recover it and none of them work the cwm says the instillation on them is complete but when i reboot system it just loads back into cwm, I could just not be understanding something easily and there is no backup

If your phone connects to the computer and its recognized. Use fast boot to install the boot.img. pull it out of the zip file you install

Where can i get "fast boot" ?

It comes in the android adb bundle. Search that. Its a very large file. Once downloaded it will be in platform tools. Also search how to use fast boot and read up. Its just too long to type right now.

Ok I got the terminal program, I'm trying to find something to reading up on commands now to get my files restored

Once again thanks for all your help so far, I'm sorry I've been such a noob, I have fastboot and have gotten it to recognize my device and i typed "adb reboot bootloader" which should boot me in fastboot but it booted me back to cwm and I typed "Fastboot Devices" non showed up, I know the rest of the steps but I feel like they are pointless withought it being able to recognize my device

Make sure you have the correct drivers for you phone on you computer. This is super tricky. you will have to go to your device manager and do it manually.

OK I still can't figure this out, the problem is I can't get it to do anything but boot into a CWM-Based Recovery, if it is mounted as a storage device there are no files on the phone. The following are steps I have taken to attempt to fix it;

-First in CWM-Based Recovery I selected the "wipe data/factory reset", "wipe cache partition", "wipe dalvik cache", "format system".
-On my PC I placed the Striped_Q_Modv1.0 in the same directory as C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot as instructed
-I ran Fastboot(in Administrator) on my PC with my LG Optimus Q plugged in with the proper USB cable and typed the following commands
1.adb reboot bootloader
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully*
2.Then it restarted my phone and reloaded into CWM-Based Recovery, which confused me because it says next to "Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC sees the device by typing fastboot devices" but after I typed "fastboot devices" it just leaves a small blank line and says C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot> with the input cursor flashing.(clearly something wrong there?)
3. I decided to continue with the steps to see what would happen maybe it just wasn't popping up. so I typed "fastboot flash recovery Stripped_Q_Modv1.0.img"
I just get "<waiting for device>"

The sorce in which I am using to guide me through flashing on Fastboot is Here, an article by cyanogenmod, October 15 2013
Could use some serious help I need a phone, Thanks for your patients with me again I'm a noob at these things.

I have never worked on an LG phone (except LG N4) which is a different story
It sounds like the HTC phones. You can boot into the bootloader. But then you have to navigate to the turn on fastboot mode in the bootloader menu
Everything you described is perfect.... except its waiting for you to put it in fastboot mode. (waiting for device)
The phone is being recognized because *daemon started successfully*
