I know some say that SOT is no longer a viable measurement of battery life because everyone uses their phones so different, but I'm still curious. What kind of numbers are you getting?

3 to 5, depending. The least I've gotten is today with 3 hours and 3 minutes. I've gotten 5 hours and 33 minutes at most, it could be an hour or two more if it weren't​ for phone idle using as much or more than screen.

Yeah, I get my butt kicked. By phone idle. But most phones don't show the background processes as part of the battery information, right?

Most days, I've been going to bed with14-16 hours since charge, 3-4 SOT, and between 15-20% battery.

It gets me through a day, doing what I need. I'm loving my phone and choice. I'm not looking longingly at the new phones.

I'm averaging 5-6 but got 7.5 a couple of days ago when I just hung around the house all day (I was on wi-fi all day). This morning I woke up and realized I forgot to plug in my phone last night and woke up to 20% so I just plugged in but I'll get a screen shot tomorrow after I have a normal full charge to start the day.

T-Mobile. On both G6's Ive had its been the same. Ive posted a bunch of screenshots on here for both devices.

Ive got excellent signal in my area so that helps alot. Ive seen some people on XDA showing 7 hours consistently. So far Ive never had to charge my phone during the day. I take it off the charger at 6:30 am and put it back on around midnight with an average of 37-38% left.

lol, naw I use it pretty heavily. Ive been off the charger for 5 hours today and have an hour of phone calls, bunch of email and browsing on tapatalk. Im at 97%. I feed my phone Wheaties every morning.

Crazy cause I get good battery life but I don't get anywhere near your screen time.. I do have Bluetooth on all the time, and I don't use WiFi.. I'm on TMobile as well and have good service everywhere I am..

What do you have your screen brightness set to?

And special tweaks or did you get that right out of the box?

Sorry technically its been 3 hours since I used android auto for 20 minutes while taking my kid to school. It was still at 100 when doing that. My SOT right now is 26 minutes 23 seconds. Just hit 96%.



Brightness is auto. Bluetooth turns off at work. No special settings beyond that. Ok google isnt on since I just use the home button for assistant. NFC is off unless I need it. Location on to high. Cant think of anything else Ive changed.

Do you have GSAM to show more stats? Because all the usage you mentioned, even with a good signal, is a hellalot to only lose 3%.

I dont use gsam. I dont really track my battery enough to use it anymore. Currently Im at 3 hours 51 minutes since I had the phone plugged into the car for android auto so if I use the stats after that Ive had 23 minutes 8 seconds of phone calls (30 minutes of calls was before using android auto), my exchange server has delivered exactly 27 emails 11 of which I replied to, Gmail looks like 9, none of which I replied to, tapatalk isnt registering yet on my battery stats but Ive been reading another forum on there and some on here off and on all morning. Screen on time is above. Not sure what more there is to see. My battery stays on 100 for about 2-3 hours before it goes to 99% everyday so by the time I hit 90% Ive got an hour of SOT and then it starts to level out at about 35-40 minutes SOT for every 10% battery drop. Like I said, Ive got screenshots on here dating back to March 25th and they all show the same SOT.

Ive had the same consistent battery every single day. 6 1/2 hours is my phones sweet spot.

It's like how long does a bottle of bourbon last.... Depends on how you consume it.
