Sound issues after having back cover off

So I think I may have messed up my phone but does seem more like a software issue.

I took phone apart to replace charging port and add a new back cover.

I now have no notification sounds from any apps. text, email, alarm clock etc.

Speakers are working as I hear incoming calls and can play music from device and youtube.

As far as I can see all settings are correct, any idea what I may of f'd up?

Thanks B Diddy! Yes everything turned up, cleared cache on phone and reinstalled a few apps with no luck.

Logic says I screwed it up as was working fine before but weird that calling and music still work.

Hmm. The notification icons still show up in the status bar? Does the phone still vibrate at all?
