Sound on S6 edge getting lower

I have now had my s6 edge for just under two years, and over that time, the volume has gotten weaker and weaker. Even at 100% most videos, music, it anything that emits sound, requires putting the phone up to my ear to hear it decently without the use of headphones/ear buds. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and is there a way to solve it(beside the obvious upgrade to a new device)?

Is the speaker grille clogged by lint or other debris?

No, the grille is crystal clear.

I this also happens in Safe Mode, then the speaker itself is probably failing. You could try to get it replaced.

Yeah i put it in safe mode, and it still happened. So i took it to a repair shop and they found some significant dust accumulation inside it, that i could not see myself just by examining the grille. They took it in and blew somw compressed air in, assumingly with the chassis partially dissassembled, and when they returned it to me, it was LOUD. In fact, i think it might even be louder than it was out of the box. And it just so happened a long time friend of mine works there, so they didnt charge even a penny for it. So, the speaker issue I can happily say is resolved.

That's great! I wonder if it would've worked if you used a can of compressed air yourself, or if it required disassembly in order to get it as clean as possible.

Yeah I'm not sure if I would have felt comfortable attempting it myself. I have watched disassembly videos on YouTube, and it looks pretty complicated. I'm afraid one wrong slip in the wrong spot would cause significant issues. So if it happens again, I'll take it back to where my friend works and let him do it
