sound thru headphones and phone at the same time

I noticed that when playing a ringtone or notification sound thru the headphones that it also plays thru the phone speakers.I noticed this when I was adjusting alert sounds for contacts and was trying to be quiet while my wife was sleeping. Music and other sounds online don't do this, is this normal?

It's been like that for a while. Not necessarily on all phones, but it was reported as a potential bug in 2.2.

i wouldnt think thats a bug incase you forget to unplug your headphones while waiting for a call or message or alarm.

scenario: you aare working out and just take the headphones off and set the phone down..
you start walking and talking and forget 2 hours later your headphones were still plugged in and you missed a call from your SO saying they are stuck at work.


thats my reasoning for it

Ok, I've just never noticed it on my One X before.
