Sound will not work, phone freezes when trying to

I recently updated from jellybean to 4.4.2 and now sound will only work for ~15 seconds after i turn it on, then when I try to play a song the player will freeze.

I also cannot receive sound through calls and people on the other end can't hear me. I have tried factory resetting but it will not fix it.

Please help!

in fact just when I turned it on then, the sound cut out while the starting up sound was playing

Try factory resetting again if it doesn't work you have broken audio drivers

If you live near a best buy go there and ask for the Samsung experience associate they will be able to re flash either that folder or the entire rom and completely rewrite your system your other option is to use odin and possibly void your warranty or get a warranty replacement
