It's me and one other guy, and we stay up nights and weekends, alienating our wives by writing apps. Our flagship product is SouthernTouch Spades, and we are very proud of the AI. We played spades through much of college and eventually received degrees in Computer Science.
Over the past year or two we've had a hard time deciding if the existing spades apps were written by programmers who didn't know how to play the game, or card sharks who didn't know how to program. Most of them have improved a bit since we've started this project, but I still believe that SouthernTouch Spades offers a great user experience with computer players who act like they used to skip class to play spades with their buddies, too.
Your partner won't try to steal your tricks, and he'll do his best protecting you when you bid blind or nil. Options include a winning score from 250 to 1000 points, 10-bag penalty, 1-click or 2-click play mode, and our new "Partner Confidence" meter.
What's the "Partner Confidence" meter? It's a graphic that tells you how strong your partner's hand is. If you think that's cheating, you can turn it off. If not, we don't judge. : )
