Speaker distortion.

Funny, coming from the Pixel XL, these speakers are phenomenal. I can actually tolerate listening to a podcast on them! I probably have some of the distortion you are speaking of, but I don't hear it well enough to be bothered by it.

My speakers almost sound muffled. Like somebody has their hand over the speakers and I can feel the vibrations through the phone. Sounds weird.

That equalizer app helps a lot, after adjusting it sounds a lot more like my 2XL though. I am fine with that.

The muffled sound some people are referring to is likely just the IP68 waterproofing. Don't they use a membrane to cover the speaker holes and other ports? A muffled sound is a design "issue." I personally like the sound of these speakers!

But I'm having the issue as well... This is a clipping sound. A sound like the speaker itself is blown out. Or like the membrane is loose and being vibrated at the lowest volume. Just the bottom speaker, which for some reason is made to be twice as loud as the top one? That bothers me a bit too...

Really hope I don't have to RMA this thing... Great phone otherwise!

It does sound like a blown out speaker. Maybe it is the water seal rattling on the speaker membrane or something.
