Speaker not working after Nougat update

Hi! The speaker on my galaxy A3 is not working after the nougat update. Audio seems fine through the 3.5mm jack, so its just the speaker. The phone was not dropped, just it didn't work in the morning after the installation of the update over the night.

Is there any way to fix this without returning to factory settings?

I am having the same problem on my LG Stylo 3 after Nougat update. The ringer, music, video volume is extremely low. If I put my ear up to the speaker I can barely hear it. All volumes are at 100%. I have tried wiping cache partition, uninstalling games. Also booted into safe mode and problem still exists. The ear piece works fine. This all occurred after getting the Nougat update. Does anybody know how to fix? Thanks you

It sounds like a factory reset is going to be your only option.
I always factory reset after a major system update...... makes the phone work like new. Me likey!! ;-)

Welcome to Android Central! It's worth trying a cache partition wipe first, before you do the factory reset:
