Speaker Problem on my Pixel 3XL

I have a problem where the speakers distort and sound terrible, particularly at LOW volume settings. It was like this straight out of the box.
Even the google assistant sounds distorted when volume is approximately 1/4. Higher volume settings seems to somewhat alleviate the problem. It happens while making phone calls too.

Headphones sound fine.

I ran through all the trouble shooting with Google, and they're willing to replace my phone.

Does this happen for anybody else? I don't want to have to go through the replacement process if the replacement is going to be just as bad.

It's a known issue for some devices.Google says fix is on the way.

I don't have this issue and I've been using my phone since October 18th. I recommend getting a replacement I wouldn't wait since it's a brand new device and expensive. Besides Google will ship you a new device and only then you need to send your current device back meaning 0 downtime without a phone for you.

This. I had this problem and got a replacement with no issues.

Yepp this happens for me too. I just use headphones for now. Waiting for software update
