Speaker volume question

I find that the speaker when playing media files is pretty quiet. Is there anything from your guys experience which would make it louder?

Actually mine starts out okay but makes a sudden dip in sound that I have yet to figure out why?

I contacted Samsung and they say this dip happens when an external accessory is attached to the device?

Like what you're experiencing the output volume is very low when this occurs and I just don't understand why?
