Whenever I try to use speakerphone for phone calls, the person I'm calling can't understand me. I believe it must be some sort of software issue as it has happened on both an S9 and A71 5G, and on both phones I can use speakerphone with Duo or similar apps and have no issues with speakerphone. I use T-Mobile. Any ideas?

I have a Pixel 6 and LG V60 and my wife has a Samsung note 20 ultra and we are both on Tmobile and no issues w/speakerphone.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using a case? If so, does it happen without the case?

Also, see if there's a Noise Reduction option in the Phone app's settings.

Hey dhski04, I'm having this exact same issue when calling most of my family that also have t-mobile. I'm not sure if its specific to tmobile, but speakerphone is terrible. I either can't understand the person I'm calling (when they put me on speaker), or I hear feedback of myself talking (also when they have me on speaker).

Calling with google meet does not have this issue. Its specific to the cell call. Did you ever find a resolution for this issue, its incredibly frustrating.

Welcome to Android Central! Same question for you -- are you using a case? Have you looked for a Noise Reduction option in the Phone app?
