I have had my Thunderbolt since the initial release day, and I use the speakerphone all the time. However, I noticed on Thursday that the speakerphone volume was very low. In fact, its at the same volume as the speaker you hold to your ear if you dont use a bluetooth. When I switch between speakerphone and regular mode - they sound the same, just with sound coming out a different speaker. Speaker volume is normal for music and media (youtube, etc). The problem only is with calls. I tried powering the phone off and on, and tried playing with the sound settings, but cant get it to work.

I saw someone posted back in 2010 with a similar problem on the HTC My Touch 4G. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix?

Thanks!

I would add a battery/sim pull, wait 3 minutes, reinsert and retry to your list of attempted repairs. Then I would call VZW and possibly get an exchange. The only thing is that VZW will probably want you to do a factory reset (losing your data). Be prepared for that (i.e. backup/synced, etc).

I did the battery/sim pull, waited 3 minutes, restarted, and made a test call. The speaker is working properly again. Thanks!!!
