Speech to text - Starting sentence in Uppercase

Does anyone know if there is a setting to start a sentence with a Uppercase (Capital) letter when starting a new sentence? I found out if you say <period> it will end a sentence and the next sentence will start in uppercase. Kind of stupid that speech messages wont start with an uppercase letter. IF there isnt a setting guess will just have to start by saying "period" to beat it at its own game.

Thanks for any help:)

I also noticed this and don't see a setting to fix it. It's either a bug or a feature that Google left out of their program. Both Vlingo and drivesafe.ly are capable of auto capitalization and both perform the function rather well. Both are free in the market. I personally prefer Vlingo because it has much broader functionality and the voice is much less robotic.

Woah! I remember when Vlingo first came out I grabbed it on my droid, but i didn't like it much. I then totally forgot about it. But this thread peaked my interest so I redownloaded. It's Awesome!! Thanks!

Oh by the way, I have a different TTS installed, it's called Loquindo. Works great!

After more than a year, there's still no simple solution to the problem of the first letter of a composed text isn't being capitalized? Google hasn't offered a fix for this? My Firmware version is 2.2.1 and Kernel version is 2.6.32.9, if this means anything.
