When Android Auto starts i get the usual split screen within about 15 seconds after I start driving. It looks like this....

...however when I tap the screen or the Tom Tom icon to go into full screen, the speed/speed limit display disappears...1000020217.jpg
Toggle back to Split-Screen and it reappears - toggle back to full screen and it disappears again. If leave it for several kilometres (about 5 minutes of driving) it eventually appears on the full screen but does not stay...if I stop at traffic lights, after about 30 seconds, it thinks I have stopped driving, and the screen reverts to this...1000020214.jpg

When the lights go green it goes back to the split screen a d I have to tap to get full screen but again it doesn't show the speed or speed limits.
Any ideas?

I don't have any Tom Tom apps/functionality on my phone for Android Auto nor on my (extremely limited/simple) head unit. Only the default Google Maps app served up to Android Auto from my phone. For me, the speed limit only shows up when I'm actually actively navigating with directions to a destination. For me, all other times it never shows up, when stopped or moving and regardless of full screen or split screen. In my scenario, I'm guessing the behaviour of when it shows the speed limit or not is a feature of the Google Maps app, and then in your case a feature of your Tom Tom app/service. Why your view switches between full or split screen based on driving or stopped seems weird to me. I'm guessing that's simply the behaviour of Kenwood's Android Auto version for your head unit (unless you can find something otherwise about it in the settings of either your head unit or your Tom Tom app/service). For me, once I select full screen view for Google Maps, it'll stay that way unless I select something different.
