Speedtest.net Results for Memphis, TN - Disappointed.

I feel your pain. I am in Memphis and get horrible speeds. I called a few times and have been giving estimates of a few months to early next year when work will be completed in my area. I don't know if that is 4G or just getting 3G working properly.

Sprint 3g is a joke here in Louisiana. My down speed is slower than my up speed.uploadfromtaptalk1348195719969.jpg

I'm about 15 miles outside of NOLA, to the west. I really think the problem is everybody in this area has Sprint. I have 3 towers that are very close to me on 3 sides so I know it isn't a coverage problem.

Yeah, here in Memphis I usually get good download speeds very early in the morning, like 6:30 AM. However, as the day goes on the speed gets slower and slower until it is almost unusable.

I'm in New Orleans, and depending on where I am I get vastly different speeds. At my house (near UNO) I average about 1000 kbps, but there are other places where I get as low as 100 kpbs. I was looking at the upgrade map recently and they are doing upgrades in New Orleans, so hopefully things will get better.

Yep and LTE is on the way. I hope it stretches out to the La Place area. I heard its supposed to be a whole market launch so I got my fingers crossed.

It sounds like in other markets they started with the suburbs to work out the kinks on the networks with fewer users and then moved into the heart of the city once everything was working.

You're in LaPlace? How'd you make out with Isaac if you don't mind me asking? One of my wife's cousins is in LaPlace and she had 4 feet of water in her house.

I was blessed. Only had water up to my doorstep. But starting at the street right behind me going all the way to the back of the subdivision had about a foot of water in the houses. It was a real shocker. Never had that much water in SJP before. Thanks for asking.
