Spell check?

I'm loving this tablet, but I feel like spell check is really random. It doesn't work in Chrome, nor in Gmail, and it didn't work in my online classroom discussion forums on the stock browser but I'm in the stock browser now and it's (maddeningly) working as I type this! Gr!

It doesn't seem to work in Polaris Office, nor in Google docs, and I can't figure out where the setting is. Do I need to enable it app by app, or is there an overall setting? If it's in the keyboard settings, I can't find it. I use smartkeyboardpro for the virtual keyboard and my bluetooth physical keyboard uses the samsung qwerty.

I'm actually going nuts that it's working right now, so I'm just going to send this off and obsess some more over it.

Thanks for any insights!

[ETA: Okay, it spell checks in the default browser. I didn't realize it was automatically switching to Chrome when opened my online class site--I thought it was still in the stock browser. So now I guess I want to know how to turn on spell check in google apps: gmail, chrome, google docs, etc.]

hmmm.... Usually spell check is included in app.... If not then its a poor app.... Not aware of a universal spell check that can be invoked that covers all application... Usually better quality apps (productively - as word processors and browsers) supply/have their ....

Agreed--a good app will have spell check. And I know that Chrome has spell check on my laptop, but I can't find any settings to activate it on my tablet!

Chrome is locked, what you see is what you get, the are no add-ons or options to change.... Down side to possibly best browser....

When I search for solutions, most people seem to be saying that the keyboard should have autocorrect, but I'm using a bluetooth keyboard for most extended typing. Is there a keyboard app that provides autocorrect for a bluetooth keyboard?
