Spigen HTC U11 Case and thoughts

the new HTC U11 Spigen case arrived less than an hour ago here and it's decent for the price. Slight bit of flex and fits like a glove with the appropriate holes for the mics and ports on top and bottom. Still slick feeling and was hoping for something with more rubbery texture for grip but not as slippery like the glass. It'll do for now. it hugs up around the edge of the top part of the phone and won't fall off at all. They did a good job and wasn't expecting to see this until later this month.

and no i won't do a drop test with my phone. lol.

I got mine today too. I think they did a great job on this one, but am afraid its not enough protection, in case of even a short drop. I wish they would make a Neo Hybrid version for this phone. I'm thinking about getting the Incipio DualPro. It was drop tested from 12 feet and after how delicate this phone seems to be, I think it would be smart...

what's the neo hybrid about? at the time i order the spigen last week i was unaware that the Incipio case was even available. i think i saw a different version or maybe they didn't have the full info up yet on it. The Spigen case is nice but yes the Incipio has that extra layer of protection. The stories of the phone with its glass exterior shattering/breaking after a fall is not a good thing so at least we have an option to protect it with a proper case.
i lost grip with my M7 awhile back walking out of work and the phone went flying some 10-15 ft ahead of me and bounced off the sidewalk. no case on it either. survived like a champ. can't see that happening with the U11 unfortunately.

It didn't protect my phone, the screen cracked. I am thinking it's likely a problem with the phone, not the case though. Could be either or both.

The case is very good looking. All functionality, mics, squeeze, etc., remain in tact.

Ugh, sorry to hear it. I definitely think it's the phone and not the case. I've had that case on a lot of phones in the past. It's pretty protective.

I ordered the Incipio Dual Pro, too. I wish Tech21.com would make the Evo Tactical Extreme for our phones. I have that on my iPhone 7 Plus and it is fantastic. If others will email Tech21 they might make U11 cases. Just sayin'.

I already emailed Tech21 about making an EVO case for the HTC U11 and they said they have no plans to do so. It's a bummer because I always use their cases on my phones (love their hot pink ones!) -- do you think they would reconsider if they were flooded with requests for an HTC U11 case??

I had the clear spigen and wasn't a fan. It turned yellow so damn fast hahah
