I will start off by saying that I the poor display on the Pixel 2 (not-XL) will likely lead to me returning it.
The Spigen Liquid Crystal case has been great on my original Pixel for a year now, but the new Pixel 2 version is much thicker and adds more bulk to the phone. Also the display-side edge is uncomfortably sharp. I have noticed that I get lots of dust on this phone and my theory is the the sharp front edge is scraping off the inside of my pants pocket.
I need a case that adds some grip but is not too think, I don't need a high degree of drop protection. The only phone I've never had a case on was the Nexus 5, and I would probably use the Pixel 2 naked as well if it wasn't for the camera bump.
Anyways, I have ordered the Spigen Thin Fit and Google AirJacket Case to see if those are better, but don't know if I will get those before the phone gets returned.
