What makes a glass screen protector better? Normal ones run at like $0.99 so what justifies a $30 screen protector?

no thanks, ill buy one for 2 bucks from my local flea market and it will get the job done, besides its gorilla glass so im not too worried about scratches

I've actually seen a couple of these glass screen protectors around the office on different phones and will definitely be picking on up once the htc one is released. It seems like a stupid idea but after my experiences with various smartphones, theyre all prone to scratching. best way to keep high resale value is to keep the screen scratch free

Definitely will be getting a screen protector of some sort since even gorilla glass is prone to scratches. I will have to do some more research before dropping that much on one though.

I received mine in the email on Sat. I was concerned about reports that it rendered and capacitive buttons useless. So, I exchanged emails with Spigen yesterday. They stopped selling it and have issued a refund for my purchase. I assume the same is true for everyone else who purchased it.

They said the regular ultra clear should work fine.

Did spigen mention if they were going to come out with a model that worked with the capacitive buttons, or have they just given up on the HTC One

SO far my Zagg IS seems to be doing well! Just need that patch from att to fix the buttons!

Bump. I see it on the website but is there a differen't between the t and the tr?

The difference is that the the 'r' in Glass.tr stands for 'rounded', as the edges of this glass screen protector are rounded and thus are less likely to chip or crack when dropped. It's a $7 difference between this and the non-rounded version, this is how I've justified a $34 screen protector:

Since the HTC One production methods prevent the screen from being removed without damaging it (unlike any other phone on the market that I'm aware of), I want the very best protection for this $600 device. This appears to be the $27 Glass.t with a hardness rating of 8-9h (the highest). And since rounded edges protect the protector - I dont mind the extra $7 in expense for the Glass.tr.

Which one can be used with a case? Specifically the poetic atmosphere?

x2 for UltraGuard. Have been a loyal PhantomSkinz user for a few years now but decided to try the UltraGuard for the price. Went on with no problems and buttons work fine. Has a bit of rubbery grippy kinda feel to it so now the phone won't feel as if it is going to slip from my hand.

Unfortunately - the HTC One specific Glass.tr isn't shipping yet (Site says it will ship late May 2013), so I can't tell you. The FAQ on the product does suggest you use a case to "avoid chipping and to protect the edges of any unwanted lifting."

Seems to imply it's friendly to cases like the Poetic Atmosphere, but I'm not certain.
