splash screen lock

I set a lock code to protect the phone and now want to go unprotected. I can't figure how to clear the 4 digit pin. Anyone out there who can tell me how to remove the lock? Thanks

Go back into the settings and it'll give you the option to change the unlock method. It'll ask for your password and once you input it, you will be able to choose swipe to unlock
