I previously had BAMF Sense 3.0 RC 4.9, and I decided to change the splash screen using the Bamf toolkit.

I tried to change back and it said "done" but it never changed back.

Now I'm onto to Gingeritis. Does anyone know how I can get back (besides Nandroid) or get a new splash screen?

you need to find the splash screen .zip file you want to flash, download it, check md5 if available, and then rename PG05IMG.zip, place on root of sd card, and load in hboot.

if it's a custom splash screen you want to make, there is a splash screen creator that (put in simple terms) zips up the image with the instructions, so that the file can be applied in hboot. there are some splash threads floating around if you run a search of the forums.

stock splash screen can be found here:

Thanks for the info.

I'm trying to figure out why it wouldn't switch back once I tried. I even wiped and reinstalled the ROM and tried to switch it back and it said "done!" but never took. It just keeps the same screen.

oh in that case i'm not sure, maybe you could try to clear app data in settings - applications - das bamf toolkit, then try to revert the splash again?

otherwise, you could just pull the splash screen you want and load it up in hboot as a pg05img.zip, that ought to still work regardless of the toolkit.

I really think this option isn't perfect because I have had at least two times I went to change the boot screen with BAMF toolbox and got locked in a bootloop... Glad I regularly backup...
