I have setup the splashtop on my computer and transformer and it works fine on my home network. Does anyone know how to get it to work on another network?

i Followed the directions and still cant seem to get it to work. The only firewalls i have are Mcfee and windows. Any ideas?

I use splashtop via 4G from my evo. All I had to do was tell my Belkin Router what port to forward. easy peasy. Setting up splashtop was way easier than Wyse Pocketcloud or VNC.

I have AT&T as well, and have disabled the firewall on my U -verse router as a have my own router.. may want to look into your router settings for port forwarding.

Sent from Bumblebee, my Asus Transformer using TapaTalk.

I tried disabling the the firewall on McAfee and still no go. What else could be blocking it? Do I need to disconnect the firewall on my router? I have a linksys e1000.

Yes, went to appilcation and gaming then selected Port Range Forwarding input 6783 6785 Both then my computer's ip address then checked enable. Then save

-disable Windows firewall, McAfee and or any other firewall/Antivirus software.
-Confirm your computers internet IP by using a net based site like whatismyip.com
-log into your router via your web browser. My old linksys router log in address was 192.168.1.1
-go to the VPN page and make sure splashtop is listed with the recommanded port forwarding range.

Log into splashtop on your LAN to establish a host/client connection.
Connect off of the LAN (I connected to my Evo mobile hotspot) and launch the client. It will tell you the host is not available. Select the host and specify the IP address you confirmed earlier and specify a port...(example 192.168.6.100:6783)

Splashtop should connect. If not......contact Splashtop support.

OK on the TF did you set up a second 2nd access portal? You can not use the same one you use to
access within the network.

See picture below, I set up a remote access portal when away from my PC's network
Labeled "remote" the BeHoang-HP is when I'm sitting in the office on the same WiFi network
