Sports cards and other notifications (Google Now)

Ok, what happened to the settings feature in the team cards? I used to be able to set it so I only got a card after the game was over, during the game or before the game. It's gone now and I only want the results after the game is over. I had to turn them off until this is fixed. Also, why are cards now showing in the notifications area? If I wanted them there it should be an option, not mandatory.

Is it just me or is Google Now getting worse instead of better?

I noticed this too. There is only an "i" which prompts to follow the team or not...no more options. I also had an issue where it doesn't give me any cards/notifications for one of the teams I'm following. My NHL teams work fine, but my MLS soccer teams do not, even though they are available to follow when I search teams. I like the idea of Google Now but it needs a bit of work still...
