Spotify support is totally useless so I thought I'd ask this here.
I notice different behavior when I use Spotify in the car on Android Auto in regards to the "like" or "favorite" button (the heart icon that allows one to mark a track as a favorite).
Sometimes it displays on the main Spotify play screen and at other times it shows on a second screen and I have to tap the "three dot" icon to bring up the second screen so that I can favorite the track. Since I'm driving I'd like the former to be the case all the time to minimize the time I need to look at the screen and interact with it.
Spotify cannot tell me what is responsible for displaying the screen on my head unit - is it Spotify or is it Android Auto?
I have had this behavior change even during a single drive and sometimes the behavior remains the same across multiple trips only to change at some point. The behavior doesn't seem related to any app updates at all.
