Spotify takes over my entire screen

Hi...First time on this forum, so hope I'm doing it right! On my Fossil Q Marshal, I used to have Spotify installed on it. I removed it because anytime either of my phones were playing a song from Spotify, my home screen would be over-fun with the album cover of the song playing. Once I removed Spotify from my watch, the same thing happens. I find this frustrating, because, depending upon what album cover it is, I cannot see what time it is? Does anyone know how to disable Spotify from just my watch (Not my phone, of course). Thank you all in advance.

I'm not sure if this is correct. If you don't have the Spotify app installed on your watch, then your watch is just mirroring the notifications from your phone. You can swipe the persistent Spotify notification away, but you should be able to swipe down or click the home button to return to the watch face.

Yes...I am able to swipe it away or hit my home button to get rid of it. But that only lasts a few minutes. I was hoping for a way to get rid of it entirely. I often look at my watch when my hands are full, and am unable to swipe.

You can go to the Android Wear app. Tap the settings icon (the gear) at the top right. Tap "Block app notifications" and add Spotify to the block list. Then you'll never get a Spotify notification on your watch (until you unblock it).

Thank you jean15paul....I thought I already did that, but when I looked, Spotify was not on the list. Now it is! Thank you very much my friend!

I did what you said, and it worked for a bit. Then the watch went back to the Spotify full screen (on my home screen). Any other suggestions would be very appreciated.
