I just pre-ordered a black S5 with Sprint and they told me that it was out of stock  When I called back and spoke with a different rep they told me to disregard the confirm email that states it's on back order. When asked for delivery estimations I have been told on or befor April 11th. Is this normal? I've read Samsung was having production issues but man, is it this bad?!

I got the same email and I pre ordered one the 21st, the first day you could pre order.

I really am hoping to get the phone before the 11 but who knows.

Ok thanks for the info. The last rep I talked to made it sound like I should just disregard that part. But who knows. I couldn't imagine they sold out already :/

I pre-ordered a Galaxy S5 from t mobile. Received the email the next morning telling me that the phone is on backorder. I've never pre ordered a phone before so I'm wondering if the phone will be delivered on launch day as they guaranteed or should I be expecting to wait for weeks?

Ive been told Sprint always sends out emails saying that for pre-orders. I'm not sure about T-mobile though :(

Ok then. Thank you for the feedback. I am new to the pre-order thing. In fact most of the time I get a new phone it's usually been on the market for at least a couple months. For some reason or another I just decided to try the launch day thing. I'm usually the one reading all the horror stories about getting devices on launch day. Now I'm one of those people. We'll see how it goes.
