I have an S8 Plus on Sprint and as such, I am on the "Galaxy Forever" plan.

Once 12 monthly payments are made, you can turn in the leased S8 and get an S9 to replace it.

My question is that as the S9 line is coming out one month earlier than last year, will Sprint force us to wait one month until the 12th payment is made?

I know it is a rhetorical question at this moment, but I am curious to see how Sprint handles this situation.

Interesting question. I would think 12 months means 12 months. This would be a good way for Samsung and carriers to ease the high demand on release date.

If you were to keep the phone the full 2 years, is the phone yours to keep then? Just seen you said lease on your post and lease usually means you turn the item in at the end of the lease. Just curious as I'm not a Sprint customer.

It is an 18 month lease.
At the end of the 18 months, you can upgrade then or pay the balance.

With Galaxy Forever, you can upgrade after 12 months if you turn in your current phone.

You just have to pay the remaining payments when you upgrade. I have done this several times and no it doesn't have to be to a Samsung I went from iPhone every 12 to the note 8. Returned the note 8 because it's way to damn big for my liking.
