Im not a phone genius and dont know all the ins and outs on how things work. My problem which is a teedious one is that while I am streaming a local radio station app it cuts in and out, when you look at the device it still tells me Im listening to that app but in reality it is cutting out. What is even more strange is most of the time (not everytime) I have ZERO problems in the morning, but come noon I start having all sorts of issues of it cutting off and on. So my question is, is this Sprint and the awful coverage they have in Colorado?? Or is this the actual App?? I stream Pandora from time to time and I have had some issues with that as well but no where close to my radio App?? I do apologize to all you wizards out there who look at this post and can only think" dumba$$" haha

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think anyone would think this was a dumb question. It certainly could be from a poor data signal--either a slow data connection or a spotty one. Does it skip if you're using wifi? If it's smooth with wifi, then I'd think it was a problem with the mobile data.

Welcome to the forums. I have a general disgust for any of the Sprint apps. If you are in the same location using Pandora and the Sprint Music app and Sprint cuts out more, then it is probably the app. B. Diddy has a good point, test them on a WiFi, and see what cuts out more.

So this is happening while Im at work, so there is no Wi-Fi for me to use here. Im running straight off of Sprints network. What is frusrtrating is that Im in the middle of a major city, my bars always have at least 3 so I seem to have service. But my 3G seems to struggle some times? Or at least when the phone is having problems that seems to be having problems. When I spoke to Sprint about a 2 mos ago, they tried to tell me its because my W-Fi is turned on and if I have no Wi-Fi to use at work than I need to turn that off? So now everytime I have a problem I check my Wi-Fi and notice that it likes to turn on and off on its own? Is that normal? But that doesn't seem to be the problem because it will show its off and I still have issues. I have been with Sprint for over 10 yrs and coverage seems awful! I wonder if Verizon coverage is the way to go. I have a horrible feeling this is not the phone that this is Sprint, and for all there Unlimited Data talk ity would be nice if it worked, its not as if Im in a small town. Thank you in advance for the help and any other tips you may have!

Go into Settings>More Settings under Wireless and Network>Mobile Networks>Connections Optimizer. Uncheck it. That feature has WiFi occasional searching for open wifi signals.

As for the Network....I am still happy with Sprint. But I understand why many people aren't. The coverage is not as good as it should be. However, barely a few weeks ago, Sprint just got a major injection of cash from Softbank, and acquired Clearwire. Now acquisitions take time, and I think the network will spring ahead in leaps and bounds in the next several months and give AT&T and Verizon a run for their money.

But, that is a guess, and if correct, several months from now. I can totally understand switching. If that is something you feel is justified, I would look at your data use and compare that number with Verizon to get an appropriate package. Then you can figure out how much you would be spending.

Thank you so much for the advice, I have unchecked Connections Optimizer and will see how the day goes. And your information about Sprint maybe changing for the better! It would be nice to have 4G coverage since that is what they told us we would have years ago with no luck yet! But I truely appreciate the help from both of you!

That may have been with WiMax which proved to be a bad investment. Bummer for Sprint as they now have to play catch up with LTE.
I really do have high hopes for them. In my area they are testing 4G, and should be launched soon.
