Sprint Galaxy S3 - Update for boost mobile?

I'm just wondering if anyone with boost mobile has gotten the update yet, and if not when will we be reviving it?..

I haven't but if you check their website the greedy suckers are already (and have been for a week at least) advertising their gs3 as running 4.3. Which is a blatant lie. I've heard from boost mobile customer care once that they know nothing and once that the update is rolling out as we speak. I messaged a boost rep yesterday to ask why that is and pointed out that it's false advertising and she told me she'd have word on the update in 24-72 hours

This is what I'm talking about. One is boost mobiles website, the other Samsungs. Both acknowledge the update but no info is given. I'd love to know how they can get away with this. Boost is outright lying

I'm running boost mobile 4.3. Historically the update for Virgin Mobile S3 is the same as Boost Mobile. On BM MD7 and MG2 were the same as VM. There is a VM MK5 OTA update floating around which, according to my experience with it, is for both BM and VM. If you want to update to JB 4.3 then search for Virgin Mobile 4.3 OTA update. Very simple update. Once you get the file which is a little over 400MB, copy it to your sd card, boot your phone into stock recovery and - apply update from external card -> locate the update on your sd card and select it. That should update your phone just the same as if you got the update OTA. And there you have it, JB in all its 4.3 glory.

I do appreciate that but with all this drama, I'm thinking of selling my gs3 and paying the diff on a nexus 5 or Moto g and just don't want to have any Issues with the buyer. Eventually I WILL do that, just don't know if it'll be before the holidays or after. I'm the android consumer who's impatient with updates, somebody impatient as me should just get a nexus.

I like Samsung and I know I have to deal with the delays and sometimes no updates at all. But you're right, for quick updates and the newest os Nexus is the way to go. And the price is right too straight from google.

The update is hopeless for boost mobile, I brought these screenshots to boat mobiles attention and got this response

I think I'm done with boost mobile . Riding out my final month and selling this phone unless the update comes before I'm ready to jump. My month isn't over until 12/29 as I've already paid my bill for next month last week. I'll move to a moto g at this point if I have to

Hello , yes I received my update on my Gs3 to android 4.3 ~ I woke up to it updating this morning . I am a boost customer & so is my husband and he hasn't received his yet (Teee heee hee) Good luck I hope u get it soon There are a Lot of changes .
