Probably the wrong forum. Just looking for answers please.

My dear wife bought me one today. Beautiful 46mm Galaxy Watch. With Sprint, is there's a workaround to operate this as a standalone?
In Bluetooth it isn't bad. They say an update is coming, but we all know how Sprint rolls. Any suggestions? I don't want to take it back, so is it worth keeping for other uses until the standalone status has been upgraded to work?
I hate to break her heart.
She said 14 days no questions asked you can return it without a restocking fee.
Question!!
Keep it?
Or sweet talk her and send it back?
Darn Sprint.

What do you mean by stand alone? If it's cellular then yes you can use it without the phone.

Not with Sprint yet. According to Samsung and Sprint
Standalone voice calling not available yet with Sprint.
Sprint, "update almost ready.". 4 months ago 😐

It's still a great watch so I would keep it, apparently lte/standalone mode zaps battery big time anyway so it's not something you would have switched on all the time anyway, fcuk if it takes a few months before lte service is available, you have lived without it until now so a little extra wait won't kill you, I have the 46mm BT version myself and am totally happy with it.

The Galaxy watch has a lot of quirks. It's a beautiful watch but not overly friendly.

Salute! Yeah I'm going to keep it. It will receive text and send text in standalone mode.
Wow didn't know this watch did so much.
Beauty as well!

Yes it does zap the battery big time. EE in the UK.
