Sprint GN Extended Battery in AC Store (?)

I noticed this link to a Sprint branded extended battery in the Android Central store, however I am not sure because the photo shows a Verizon branded door:

Has anyone bought this and is it, in fact, a Sprint branded door? I ask because when I called the local Sprint store, they said they were not aware of any extended battery for the device yet. I also checked the Samsung site and there was nothing listed there either.

Would also be great if someone from AC (moderator) could confirm this, because if this is truly a Sprint branded extended battery (including door) for the GN, I am buying it today.

I heard that, although the Verizon battery would work (I mean, they are identical devices, right?), that the Verizon door fits oddly because the connections that secure the door to the phone are different on the two phones.

I tweeted Sprint asking about when we can expect an "official" 2100 extended battery, because I really like the bigger battery without having to add the "humpback" door like on some of the larger ones.

X2, the verizon extended battery door does not fit the Sprint version correctly.

This product SHOULD NOT be sold as compatible.

AC need's to correct this.

I would have to agree, it is misleading and I almost purchased it because even the description specifies Sprint. However, if I received it and found that the door didn't line up / attach directly, I would have been very upset.

I understand that I know I would be buying a Verizon branded product, but the fact that it specifies "Sprint" in the title and description would lead me (and anyone else) to believe that it is compatible with my device. From my understanding, the battery does fit, but people have had to make cuts into the Verizon door to get it to fit the Sprint version.

At best, a caveat should be added to the description that the Verizon door will not properly fit a Sprint Nexus, but the battery will, so people know what they are getting into (aka: no backlash against AC).

Agreed, I understand most all other accessories not having to do with the battery do are compatible, but this one should be split.
