That was my experience.. I was able to connect my laptop to the available Wifi network, but once I opened a web browser could not get to any sites.I thought I read somewhere else in this forum that although the program opens and you can create a hotspot and connect to it, the device connected can't actually get out onto the internet until you turn on the service. However, I have not tested that and could be wrong.
not, you can't get on the net through it unless the paid service is enabled by calling and asking it to be enabled, so you won't get hit with a charge for testing it (and finding it doesn't work)I'm sure you will be hit w/a $30 charge for using (even testing) this service. And, if you don't complain and pay for this service, you will continue to be charged monthly until you call to discontinue the service.
