sprint hotspot on rooted photon

I am able to use the mobile hotspot on my photon does that mean that I am using it for free? Or are they going to charge me later?

By use, do you mean that devices actually connect to your phone and you can surf the web? I too have my phone rooted, using this app gives me an error. So, no internet.

I have it also but 4g shuts off on mine when i turn on wifi tether. so only 3g works on it, which isn't terrible but.....

Make sure you download the latest drivers for your Wifi card. I have an fairly new Intel card in a laptop and at first it would not recognize ad hoc connections. After the driver update, all is well.

I was told that sprint is temporarily giving 1 month of free hotspot access when you buy and new phone and extend your contract.
I haven't verified this though.
I just rooted and installed a free wifi app
