Sprint is full of it when it comes to rebates

I bought a new phone from Sprint and I sent my rebate in with my receipt. First they declined it saying my number wasn't valid, called them got that straight. Next they claim I didn't add the receipt, which I did and got that cleared.

Now they messed up and left part of my address off which is making the check they "supposedly" sent out and emailed them and they told me to wait 45 days. Called them and got that cleared so now I am again waiting on my $100 check for a phone I bought almost three months ago.

That's why you should never, never buy from the Sprint store when there is a rebate involved. Best Buys and/or Radio Shack only. Instant rebate. The Sprint store is only used to test drive the new devices. Lesson learned.

I know now. At the time I was too hellbent on getting rid of my old phone without a ton of cussing(never buying anything HPalm related again).

If I'd known it'd be this hard I would've returned this phone and went elsewhere.

I did not have any issues whatsoever getting my two rebates. In fact, i originally got the Hero, but switched to the Evo after i sent in the rebate. But they still counted it and i got my rebates back with no hassals.

Meh, I probably should've sent it to another address since the damn card didn't have enough spaces on it.

I never had a problem getting my rebate from AT&T when I had a small phone. It came within two weeks.

Sometimes there will the one transaction that falls through the cracks, even all the cracks. Lesson learned is to buy elsewhere so you don't need to deal with the rebate system. I've done business with both best buy and radio Shack with no problems.

Sprint has come through OK for me as far as sending me my rebates. If they were the one who were at fault with your mailing address, then they should send it out as "urgent" which should take no longer than 15 business days. The 45 days time period is in some case it might take up to that time > which is two out of ten percent chance of that happening.

When they sent that email, I was like no ****ing way. Right now I'm going to see if it'll arrive this time, but it's highly unlikely I'll deal with Sprint anymore in terms of buying anything and possibly accountwise.

I'll try to. But I'm so damn pissed at Sprint that I feel like strangling a Sprint employee right now just because they're working for Sprint.

So you'll try to keep from cursing yet you did in the same post? That's some good trying right there.....

I've noticed that, some of the searches I looked for led to Androidcentral. :( sorry guys.

Just that I'm so sick of Sprint. They're the next to cheapest carrier, but they cause so many headaches and frustrations. Just unbelievable.

Every carrier has thier faults and will cause frustration somewhere. If a rebate is the most of your problems with a carrier then be thankful.

When it comes to money, it's always a problem.

But there's the lack of 4G despite advertising it heavily(false advertisement), charging $10 for data experience, the Spending Limit fee, and so on. Sprint's the cheapest, but they're also the crappiest.

I think you would piss and moan about anything. For one 4G is "false advertisement" on ALL carriers. You pay $10 big woop. You can switch and pay $30! That's even better!! *sarcasm* You wouldn't have the spending limit fee if you had better credit. So switch and pay a deposit on another carrier. What it comes down to is that the grass is always greener on the other side. I don't gamble but I would bet all my money that you would switch to another carrier and ***** about them also.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you do not know what you're talking about. My credit isn't bad and I've heard stories of other people unfairly paying a spending limit fee. My thing about the 4G is that they constantly advertise it and promises it to be in numerous cities yet it is not.

Point is, Sprint is a joke of a carrier because they haven't change one bit despite people being led on that they have.

I can say that I didn't have bad credit either when I signed up with Sprint. Actually I moved here from Canada and had no credit in the US but a great credit score in Canada. I had to pay the spending limit fee which has now been removed. I didn't like it but I understand that sometimes a business needs to do what it needs to do to protect itself.

Sprints been fair to me and I've never had a problem if I had to exchange either one of our blackberry's because of issues. From what I hear how good the companies signal, 4G etc is will depend on where you live so I would really have no reason to change right now.

There are ways to not pay the spending limit fee. So the fact that you are paying it is on you. And I still stand by what I said. You will piss and moan with any carrier because of something.

And you'll still be wrong. Sure, no carrier will be perfect, but Sprint is still in the lower ranks and it loses subscribers all the time.

Meh, never had a spending limit on AT&T or anything. Sprint did offer to withdraw out of my account automatically and they'd remove the spending limit, but I don't like any company taking cash out unless I do it myself.
