Is anyone currently having issues with Sprint when trying to place/receive calls and sms? Every time I try to place a call it says that my phone does not have access the number. Also, my whole family who is on the same plan is having the same issues so I know that my phone is not just screwed up.

I'm not having any problems. Is this something that just started? If so, it might be a network problem for the area right now. Hopefully it gets worked out soon so you don't have to deal with the hassle of calling Sprint and working with a tech to resolve the problem.

Just for the heck of it, you can go into the settings and update PRLs for the phone and see if that provides a fix on each device.

It just started at around 4 pm. It definitely is a network problem because a window keeps popping up saying it cannot connect to a network. I'm going in to Sprint tomorrow to get it situated. I was just curious if this was occurring with other Sprint customers.

there was a network outage a few days ago in the Bronx, NY and my family there couldn't make or receive calls or sms. maybe theres one in ur area?

Same thing in Chicago happened yesterday. The only thing I can use is data for some storage reason. God Bless google talk, since it uses data and not the regular network to place texts.

I have to say, Sprint seems to be getting worse service since like April. In Chicago here it used to be pretty good last year, but i read something about Sprint's contract was up with the towers they lease back in April, and that network set was changed because of that. Not sure how true that is ?

But 3G download speeds just blow, I see ATT has 3G speeds faster than Sprint's 4G. Overall I am very disappointed with Sprint lately. And i like the idea on GSM of both voice and data at same time.

No 3G issues in my area. However the spotty 4G testing going on here is such a big tease, which leaves me so pissed that I live two miles outside of the the closets test tower (the 3G tower is there too). Why can't they test it at full power?

Thank god the 3VO has an awesome WiFi radio. Using the home network this phone is crazy warp speed fast.
I dream of having a service this fast and rock solid stable on.the road outside.

Oh well, someday...

Fwiw no problems here in Nashville TN.

I've never had to call Sprint regarding a problem with my phone getting or keeping a signal until this past week. My EVO 3D would randomly roam inside my house (no phone has ever done this). My phone would also randomly roam in the middle of a parking lot (no trees & tower was nearby). If my phone had a signal, the bars would rapidly jump from 4 bars to none.

It was even worse when I visited Atlanta and Florida last week. My 4G speeds were only ~1mbps. That's my usual 3G speed. Only one 4Gtest made it to 3.11mbps. 3G speeds dropped to ~.40mbps.

After calling Sprint, my 3G speeds are back to ~1mpbs but my 4G speeds are still low ~3mbps.

My only issue is the slow speeds of 3G and 4G.. my 4G downloads at .06-.25 most of the time and 3G is about the same. I guess it's fine though, as long as I'm able to stream pandora.

there is a tower that they are working on near me so I have been connecting to another farther away, and on another network. But... I use wifi mostly at my home and I do not really do much calling.
