Sprint LG G2 on Boost Mobile

A friend just got the G2. They would not activate it over the phone. He had to go to a Boost store. They couldn't get it activated with data. They ordered a Boost SIM to replace the Sprint SIM.

Mine got activated over the phone 2 months ago with only a little guff from the rep.

What is up with this? We both bought Sprint G2 from Best Buy.

Different salesdroids have different amounts of knowledge. I won't go any further than that here - I like keeping my account.

It turned out that it was just a matter of getting the right supervisor and the phone was activated.
