Sprint LG Optimus G phone randomly gets hot when in pocket

Hi,

I have only had the LG Optimus G phone since May and recently when I have had it in my pocket it gets very hot to touch. I'm not sure why. Also, the battery is draining really fast when the phone is not in use, even when I have GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth off.

Any ideas on how to fix this?????
