This is definitely good news and should help Sprint roll out LTE far faster.

According to Lightsquared themselves they plan to have 92% of American's covered with 4G coverage. I'm hoping Sprint signs this deal and that pans out.

Sounds very promising, much better than their deal with Clearwire. Hopefully this means more coverage and faster network speeds.

This will be great news if Sprint is able to partner with a company that will push them toward LTE. A few people may think 2-3 years is a long time from now, and in terms of technology, it is. Hopefully this doesn't do anything to slow down Sprints momentum with their push of 4g Devices.

Since LightSquared has a 4G LTE satellite as a part of their network, I'm left assuming that we would be able to roam on it as Sprint customers. Granted, we would have to upgrade to a 4G LTE phone, but we would have coast to coast 4G coverage. Wouldn't that be the cat's meow??? It would hands down make Sprint the best carrier. At least until AT&T and Verizon put up their own satellites to compete.

The only major bummer to this fantasy is that it would be a few years away. :'(
