sprint note 5. on locked screen, keypad does not appear

after swipe and tapping in the password box, to unlock the screen, keyboard does not appear. so password cannot be typed for the phone to unlock. also it happens to be in battery saving mode. any suggestions?

So after typing the password, keyboard doesn’t appear so you can’t type your password?

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Or I got it wrong.

can i do a master reset? also, can i connect the phone to a pc and through my files access the texts file?
