Sprint Plan Chaos

My 2-yr Sprint plan ends this month, so I've been shopping new phones and plans, and getting lots of conflicting info:
In a corporate Sprint store last Friday, the rep told me that I can renew my current plan for 2-yrs and a GS6 (32GB) would be $199. If I wanted a new/lower priced plan, the GS6 would be over $500. I thought Sprint had decided to separate phones from their plans.
Same day, I went to a franchised Sprint store across town, and the rep told me that he couldn't lease a GS6 to me with any of the new/lower priced plans.
Yesterday, I went to BB - where they're offering the GS6 (32BG) for $1 with any 2-yr Sprint contract/plan (new plan or renew the plan I currently have).
Later, I went to another franchised Sprint store, and the rep offered me a GS-6 for $8/month with renewing my current plan for another 2yrs. When I told her about the deal offered at BB, she said that BB sells bad phones and people complain about BB all the time to her. :-$

Over the past 8 yrs I've had good service and support from Sprint, but I'm now having serious concerns over their deceptive behavior...worse than talking with a used car dealer.

It sounds like the stores are confused or didn't read the Sprint memo that just came out.... Smh.....

Sent from a device beyond your wildest dreams.

I am in my fifth or sixth year of a Sprint family plan. My last set of phones I got through Costco for a couple bucks apiece plus tax and two year contract extension. This is after, as I recall, Sprint did away with contracts.

Keep in mind that sales people are not Sprint; they are just there to try to sell you a phone and a plan.

Your best bet is to go online, use that chat feature and ask Sprint your questions directly. If you like your current plan, then I'm sure Sprint would like to accommodate you.

So, the staff working in a Sprint corporate store are not Sprint employees?
They are employees, but the typical salesperson on the floor is not usually plugged into the latest in corporate policy.

At least when you chat with a representative online, you get a written record of the transaction...

Best buy offers better pricing on 2 year subsidies.

You can likely get a loyalty lease credit on your plan which would be a $10 monthly credit. This would bring the lease price down to $8 per month.

It seems some of the representatives weren't adequately informed. Current customers are grandfathered for 2 year contracts.

This.

Changed my plan to the Sprint's 1GB unlimited Family Share Pack for about $46/month w/taxes + fees, and no contract. I use very little data. Saved $35 a month.
Our other phone is on Verizon with an older 1GB plan for about $70/month total, and 5 months remaining on contract. Today, I asked about changing to their new 1GB Verizon Plan (very slimilar to Sprint's) and the price would be about $80 total/month! Thought I could save about $10 month, but they would hit me with a $40 access charge vs $20.
